My Kate Spade dress finally arrived, 2 weeks late but it was worth the wait. It is SO pretty and fits like a dream. There's still a few more things I want to buy from Kate Spade including 2 more dresses I have my eye on, a pair of sandals and a crossbody bag.

I still have to get a new sink and faucet for the kitchen. I decided on a farmhouse style sink so there's a bit of countertop cutting involved but it's super basic and I'm totally comfortable with it.

I have so much left to do around here. I have to finish painting the stairs and the playroom, finish the kitchen then get started on painting O's room. I also want to paint the back porch and do something with the front yard. None of this is a bad thing considering we're at day 53 of quarantine with no end in sight.

Like it's not already bad enough being stuck in the house all the time with everything closed. On top of all that my Grandma has been in and out of the hospital, we're getting hit by a polar vortex in a few days and have a chance of snow (it's fucking MAY! It's usually sunny and +20 by now) and O might not start school on time because who knows if school will be open by the fall. Oh and let's not forget, FUCKING MURDER HORNETS!

I'm exhausted and my anxiety is through the roof. I just want nice weather and open beaches so I can lay in the water and lament the past several months and the loss of normalcy. I want O to be able to see her friends and family. I want to take her to the park and the splash pad. I'm sick of wearing a mask and feeling overwhelmed just going to the grocery store.

Fuck 2020. This year sucks.

Most of my Kate Spade order came in today except the dress because they somehow fucked up my order and sent me earrings instead. So I had to contact them and they're sending out the dress with expedited shipping. It should be here next Friday. I don't know if that's annoying but whatever.

The green purse is HUGE and that's important because I'm a mom to a toddler so I carry around a lot of shit. The glitter clutch is so cute and I wish I had somewhere fancy to wear it but of course I don't because we're in the middle of a pandemic and the fanciest place I visit is my backyard. The shoes are awesome and fit like a glove.

Shawn surprised me with this fucking AMAZING bracelet for my birthday. It's Kate Spade too, of course. It came in quite late but that's not surprising given the current circumstances.

I also got this stuff by Dior and damn it is EXPENSIVE but worth every penny. My skin has never looked better. If you can afford it, buy it, you won't regret it.

Abandoned Farmhouse

There's a beautiful abandoned farmhouse near Port Royal that I drive by often. Today I decided to pull over to the side of the road and take a better look. I did a bit of research and it appears this home was built around 1850. The property indicates that it may have been a working farm at some point. I also found out that it is a designated heritage property, preventing it from being torn down.

Here's a quick look inside.

It's a shame this property has been left to fall apart for so long. It was obviously once a beautiful home. I found some photos on Ontario Abandoned Places from 2014 and it was in much better condition at that time. Their website is currently down for maintenance, but once it's back up I will update this post with older interior photos.

I will eventually post more abandoned places photos on my blog, here.

Across the street was a group of Sandhill Cranes.

So I did a thing...

I was really bored with the blonde and I've never had actually purple hair so now I do. I love it.

.P.S. I'm going as Leela from Futurama for Halloween.
